Odd Sporting Events Wrapup
Not our best week ((I feel I’ve been saying that a lot lately.)) but I think the three sketches we’ve got this week are solid and funny.
- DNW led off with Wile and his bestest buddy, Road Runner, paired up in an unusual competition…
- Coyote followed up with the sports report of the future…
- Lynn showed us what goes on in the cornfields when professors get jiggy.
Next week, next week…it’s going to be a good one, I can feel it. What topic is it that inspires such confidence? What topic makes me think “funny”? Mother’s Day.
If you think you’ve got the comedy chops to do battle with our scarred and bitter warriors, if you dare step into the hailstorm of seltzer and cream pies, if you think you’re MAN ENOUGH or WOMAN ENOUGH to make us laugh, write a sketch and contact us at submissions(nospam)@sketchwar.org.

Bonfire of the Academies
So, I thought it would be fun to bring back Bob and Jim from my earlier sketch Basketball and Bullies… see how they’re doing in the world of novelty sportscasting. Last time it was third grade basketball, this time its fire, cornfields, and hammered, professional nerds. Oh, and by the way – yes, this really is what small town college professors do on the weekends. Don’t ask me how I know.
